First of all, I don't think that a "Rants" board is needed nor is a "News" board. Secondly, I think that there should be some sort of "Hellos & Good-Byes" board and a "Suggestions/Complaints" board. Many other forums are that way, such as SSD (which happens to be very popular).

it is needed, for the rest of the site. A rants board may not be as necessary, but a news board certainly is, especially with integration.
Isn't there going to be a news section in the main website? RSS or something maybe as well? Well, I guess you could have the news section...but the "Rants" board isn't needed...with the 'Rants' board, the general board won't really be that popular and half of the posts in the general board will probably be moved.

In addition, there is already RSS. Click on the "RSS Syndication" links at the bottom of the page.
Also, maybe there should be a "projects" board or something like that for the staff's and/or member's projects. I still think the "Rants" board isn't really needed. The "Calculator Gaming" category should probably be a board or something. Just maybe.

Good, thanks. But now the "General" category looks to enpty. The "Help" board should be combined with the "Suggestions" board, and there should be a separate board for calculator support. The "Website Features" board is unneeded (a nav menu on the main page would be good, and link to other pages below the banner of the forum would also be good). Comon, a whole board with sub-boards that link to the other sections of the site?
EDIT: The arcade is also really awesome, but really off-topic. I guess you can keep this arcade though because it is so awesome...
