Is it worth it to trade a tiNspire (non CAS) worth trading for a ti89 titanium? (Both in same new condition) I'm a high school student in Calculus AB planing to go higher.
Maybe...
I don't know much about the non-CAS TI-Nspire, but I'm pretty sure the Ti-89 Titanium has more math features than it, particularly symbolic manipulation (like the TI-Nspire CAS does).
But, if you're in Calculus AB, you'll likely not be able to use a TI-89 Titanium on most of the tests you take, including the AP test. If you plan to take Calculus BC next year, you'll probably want to have your non-CAS TI-Nspire there too, as you most likely won't be able to use your TI-89 Titanium on most of the tests you take, including the AP test, again..
However, after Calculus BC, in classes such as multi-variable calculus, a TI-89 Titanium or similar calculator will probably useful, if not required (I suggest talking to your teacher when the time comes to see what calculator she/he recommends).
So maybe you could not trade your calculator now...but possibly in two years or so, if the offer is still up?

Well, it is all green (the 89) with the AP exam and class (almost half of my classmates are using one)
So i'm really leaning toward trading because I really love the capabilities of the 89 more then the tinspire (we traded for a day)

Oh, that's good, then the trade for the 89 will probably be worth it, and you'll most likely be set for the rest of high school and further.
Or if you want to still learn a bit more about the TI-89 Titanium's capabilities on your own are unable to use an actual TI-89 Titanium again, besides reading about it, there are emulators like TiEmu you can use to experiment with it on your computer.
