I currently am going to College and apparently we are going to be using the TI-89 Titanium for my engineering courses. I have a CASIO fx-9750G PLUS and want to know whats to difference between the two. Does the TI-89 Titanium have more functions and applications? More powerful?

Should I go and buy the TI-89 Titanium or stay with this CASIO?

Thanks
I don't know much about the CASIO fx-9750G PLUS, but I don't think it has symbolic manipulation like the TI-89 Titanium does (it can factor, expand, integrate, differentiate, etc. expressions symbolically). Some advanced engineering courses will probably want you to have a calculator like the TI-89 Titanium, but I wouldn't buy one until you're sure you actually need it for your course.

I think the Ti-89 Titanium also has much more software written for it to expand its capabilities, by the way. See here and here.
