Using my TI-84 plus interface is cumbersome for writing large programs. Is there a program that lets me write BASIC code from the PC and upload it to the calc?
Try this and this.
How do these programs do that?
At the first link, scroll down to the line that says:

" TI Connect Program 8xp (compatible 83p)"
and click "Create a new one"

You can then import a text file or write one on the spot. I don't know how SourceCoder could be applied here.

Alternatively, if you want to run a standalone program, try TI Graphlink. Install it, and there you go. It says it's for the 83+, so commands related to time won't tokenize/parse correctly, but other than that it works fine.
