What is your favorite distribution of Linux?
Suse. It's the only one I ever really messed with for any length of time. Smile
I'll go with Fedora. It seems to be very useful for the things I would want to do, and more.
I think OpenSUSE is OK. I briefly tried it out...and it didn't automatically detect my modem and network stuff, so that was slightly annoying. The OpenSUSE menu might look cool...but I'm used to the regular K menu - fortunately I could switch back. Also, unfortunately, a lot of the software I use doesn't have OpenSUSE packages.

Novell, the company in charge of OpenSUSE, made a deal with Microsoft...and I'm not really sure how I feel about that.
I'm not a frequent linux user, but my cousin is. I liked Fedora. Vladik covered its versatility, but I assert that it was easier to use than the others i've seen (Gentoo, Ubuntu).
While Fedora I guess is fairly easy to use, I wouldn't say it's easy to use then Ubuntu, for the average user. Fedora, because of its strict open-source software only policy, doesn't come with any proprietary software and doesn't even have any proprietary software in its repositories, making things like 3D graphics acceleration, flash, and proprietary codecs (ones needed to play .mp3, .wmv, etc. files) slightly harder to install (although usually all you need to do is add the repository at http://rpm.livna.org/ and you can install software like this from there). On the other hand, Fedora's package names do generally make more sense than Ubuntu's (for example, Ubuntu calls the libraries for KDE 4 "kdelibs5" and it calls glibc "libc6" which is an obsolete name), making some software easier and more intuitive to install.
