Hello there. awesome forum. Well my question pertains to a math problem I'm working on. So I entered the following data on my TI-83 Plus: Went to STAT, 1:Edit, and entered L1{1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17} and L2{.3962,.7652,1.1835,1.1609,2.6988,4.5381,5.3379,6.8032,7.0328,11.5585,13.4799,23.5424,31.9342,39.7277,54.31,46.2,47.53}

From my input data, I go to STAT, arrow to CALC, then pick 0:ExpReg
I then put L1,L2 since this is where my data is and then Y1
so the input on the calc is: ExpReg L1,L2,Y1
(the Y1, I got from VARS, arrow to Y-VARS and then select 1:Function, 1:Y1)

and so I get the same thing as the book, except I don't get any r^2= value or r= value
In other words, they get:
ExeReg
y=a*b^x
a=.4754667252
b=1.358201358
r^2= .9660173956
r=.9828618395

I reset my calc to defaults and still only obtain values for a and b only.
Any other options. Thanks!
Go to the Catalog (Press 2ND and then 0). select DiagnosticOn, and press ENTER rwice (it will say "Done" at the end). Then, enter ExpReg L1,L2,Y1 again you'll see the R and R^2 values.
