On UnitedTI I downloaded the map add on for Pyro Sprite Edit. When I load the files in TI Connect all of the files except PYMAPK are Incompatible File Types. I have tried everything I know to fix them, but no avail. Anyone have a working version?
What are the extentions of the files? What version of TI-Connect do you have? What calculator do you have? If you don't have the latest version of TI-Connect (1.6, I think) you should probably download that off of the TI Education website.
This makes me remember my Incompatible Type problem, the reason I signed up. Ah, memories.
Anyway, reinstall TI-Connect. If you already have, do it again.
And Pyro Sprite Editor is for the 83+ or 84+. Thus, he either has an 83+ (SE) or 84+ (SE). Based on previous knowledge, he has an 84+.
Yes, I do have an 84+. The files are .8Xp. The capital x is not a typo. I have no clue if that would affect the program... I do have TI Connect 1.6. Here are the EXACT names of the files:
PYMAP.8Xp
PYMAPS.8Xp
PYMAPU.8Xp
PYMAPK.8Xp (only compatible one...)
PYMAPM.8Xp
I'll try to download the PyroEdit map add-on sometime (probably tomorrow) and see what could be wrong. I have to go to my friend's house now.
Anyway, reinstall TI-Connect. If you already have, do it again.
My incompatible type thing was solved after a few reboots and a few re installations of TI-Connect.
I tried reinstalling TI Connect and it still is incompatible. On the emulator it is fine! I will try repairing TI Connect now...
EDIT: Repairing it didn't work...
It is fine on the emulator because it does not transfer using TI-Connect
Uninstall and reinstall TI-Connect/re-download it/mess with it over and over and over and over...
BTW,
here's my incompatible type problem thread. Note that after restarting a billion times, it kind of fixed itself.
Maybe you should try rebooting your computer after reinstalling it too.
Or, if you feel like it, you could use TiLP.
You're supposed to restart after reinstalling. There's a little pop-up box or something.
